Former King Gyanendra to visit Gorakhpur tomorrow
Kathmandu, January 29 — Former King Gyanendra Shah is set to visit Gorakhpur, India, on Thursday. During his visit, he will offer special prayers at the Gorakhnath Temple.
Currently in Bhairahawa, the former king will depart for Gorakhpur on Thursday, as confirmed by his press secretary, Phaniraj Pathak.
During his visit, Former King Shah is also expected to meet with the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, according to Pathak.
Indian media reports indicate preparations are underway for the meeting between the former king and the Chief Minister.
It is also customary for the former king to offer Khichadi (hodgepodge) at the Gorakhnath Temple, a practice he will continue during this visit.
Chief Minister Adityanath is also expected to visit the temple during the same period.
