NEPSE rebounds with 24.50-point gain after three days of decline
Kathmandu, January 28 — The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) experienced a rebound on Tuesday, gaining 24.50 points after three consecutive days of decline, closing at 2657.77 points.
This recovery marked a positive shift in market sentiment following a downward trend earlier in the week, which saw NEPSE lose 52.36 points on Wednesday, 11.10 points on Thursday, 10.41 points on Sunday, and 10.66 points on Monday.
On Tuesday, the total market turnover reached Rs 9.40 billion, with 177 companies witnessing an increase in their share prices, 60 companies experiencing a decline, and six companies remaining stable.
All sub-indices recorded gains, with the Development Bank group leading the surge at 4.07%.
Several companies, including Upakar Microfinance, Sikles Hydropower, Three Star Hydropower, Janaki Finance, Saamudayik Microfinance, and Nyadi Hydropower, hit the positive circuit during the trading session.
Saptakoshi Development Bank recorded the highest turnover of Rs 38.21 million, while Himalayan Reinsurance led in terms of the number of transactions.
