CPN (US) proposes party strengthening through movement

Kathmandu, January 28 — The Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) has proposed strengthening the party through a movement.

Following a recent meeting of the party's Standing Committee, the proposal was introduced in an inter-party directive, where General Secretary Ghanshyam Bhusal has been appointed as the coordinator to take it forward.

According to the directive, Bhusal will focus on advancing both the movement and the organization’s activities as part of the party's immediate agenda. The proposal will be further discussed in the upcoming central committee meeting, and it will be implemented thereafter.

The committee coordinating the movement includes Standing Committee member Jeevan Ram Shrestha as the secretary. The structure of the movement coordination committee will be finalized in the central committee's forthcoming meeting.

Additionally, a committee under the leadership of Prakash Jwala has been formed to determine the party’s stance on the ongoing discussions regarding amendments to Nepal’s constitution.

The committee includes leaders Garima Shah, Ganesh Bahadur Bishwakarma, Ramchandra Yadav, Ghanaprasad Gautam, Rajan Rai, Govinda Bandari, and Shankar Subedi.
