Oli defends 'strong government', criticizes opposition for spreading confusion

Kathmandu, January 27 — Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has accused opposition parties of spreading confusion.

On Monday, while inaugurating the administrative building of the Suryabinayak Municipality, he expressed his frustration toward the opposition.

He clarified that, contrary to opposition claims, the government will not fall, emphasizing that the strong government formed by the CPN (UML) and the Nepali Congress is working for the country's development.

"We left the prime minister's 'chocolate' behind to build this government, and it's not about falling apart with opposition," Oli stated.

Addressing the leader of the main opposition party, CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda," Oli criticized the constant predictions about the government's collapse.

He accused the Maoists of using violence and intimidation to secure votes during the first Constituent Assembly election, but emphasized that those days are long gone.

He urged everyone to move forward in a democratic manner, without resorting to mudslinging or division.

Oli also responded to allegations about his wealth in Cambodia and Switzerland, calling them baseless and accusing the opposition of trying to destabilize the country with false accusations.

Oli further criticized Rabi Lamichhane, the suspended leader of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party, and expressed frustration over the media's portrayal of his health during his illness.

He acknowledged feeling some weakness due to medication but assured that he would recover soon.
