PM calls meeting of ruling coalition after complaints from smaller parties
Kathmandu, January 27 — After smaller parties expressed complaints about being excluded from discussions on various decisions made by the government and the ruling alliance, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called for a meeting of the five parties in the ruling coalition.
Since KP Sharma Oli became Prime Minister, there has been regular dialogue and discussions between the leaders of the two major parties, the Nepali Congress and the CPN (UML). However, smaller parties within the ruling coalition have not been included in these discussions.
A leader from the ruling parties stated, "It was promised that regular discussions and dialogue would be held among the parties that supported Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and are part of the government. But lately, discussions have been focusing only on the Nepali Congress and UML, which has led the smaller parties to express dissatisfaction. Therefore, a meeting has been called to listen to their concerns."
He further mentioned that with the winter session of Parliament approaching, the meeting aims to ensure a unified voice during the parliamentary session.
