Gagan Thapa claims he can outperform current and past PMs
Bhaktapur, January 26 — Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has stated that he would perform better than the current Prime Minister, claiming that a Prime Minister from the youth generation would deliver better results.
Speaking at an event in Bhaktapur on Sunday, Thapa expressed confidence that future youth-led leadership would outperform current and past Prime Ministers.
Thapa asserted that if appointed as Prime Minister today, he would deliver better governance than the current leadership.
He further stated that his confidence in governing the country more effectively motivated him to challenge party president Sher Bahadur Deuba for the position of leader of the Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party.
Thapa remarked, "I believe we can govern the country better than the current or any past Prime Ministers. If I were to be appointed as Prime Minister today, I am confident that we would do a better job. I took steps towards this belief with full conviction. We must not let this decade slip by without positive change."
He also emphasized that the focus should now be on the well-being and progress of Nepali citizens. Thapa added that Nepal has developed significantly over time, and the main issue now is ensuring that every citizen can earn a living with dignity in their own country.
