Bail hearing of RSP President Lamichhane continues today

Butwal, January 26 — The Rupandehi District Court will continue the bail hearing for former Home Minister and Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane today.

Lamichhane appeared in court on Wednesday in connection with the Supreme Cooperative fraud and organized crime case.

Earlier, on Friday, two lawyers from the victims' side and three from Lamichhane’s defense presented arguments.

As some lawyers still need to present their arguments, the bail hearing has been extended, according to the court.

Yagyamurti Gyawali, the court's senior officer, said that since the arguments were not completed on Friday, the case would be heard again today.

He mentioned that with the questioning of the complainant and the defendant now concluded, the court might issue a ruling today.
