NEPSE index rises by 52.36 points
Kathmandu, January 22 — On Wednesday, the stock market index (NEPSE) increased by 52.36 points, reaching 26,665 points.
As the market rose significantly, the trading volume also saw an increase. A total of 322 companies traded 17,692,000 shares, amounting to a transaction value of 9.2 billion rupees.
On Wednesday, the share prices of 196 companies rose, with positive circuit breakers applied to the share prices of Corporate Development Bank and Dolti Power Company.
Green Development Bank's share price increased by nearly 10%.
Investors were particularly attracted to companies in sectors such as investment, others, trade, development banks, and hotels and tourism.
The investment subgroup saw a 3.82% increase, while the other subgroups also saw positive growth: the others subgroup rose by 0.24%, trade by 2.45%, development banks by 2.74%, and the hotel subgroup's index increased by 2.71%.
