Two sisters found dead in suspicious circumstances in Salyan

Salyan, January 8 — In a tragic incident, two sisters were found dead under suspicious circumstances in their home in Bangad Kupinde Municipality-11, Salyan.

The deceased have been identified as 3-year-old Karishma Rana and her 6-month-old sister Raghavi Rana, according to Ramesh Kshetri, Information Officer at the District Police Office.

The incident is reported to have occurred on Wednesday morning.

The children's father, Tekman Rana, was away for work outside the district, while their mother, Purnima Rana, was present at home but has not yet disclosed details about the event.

Kshetri mentioned that there were no signs of health issues, and the sisters were found dead, which has raised suspicions surrounding the incident.

"The situation is indeed suspicious. The local police have secured the area, and I am currently on my way there," Kshetri said, adding that further information would be available only after the investigation is completed.
