Barshaman Pun advocates for special general convention

Kathmandu, January 7 — CPN (Maoist Centre) Deputy General Secretary Barshaman Pun has stated that a special general convention should be held after the completion of the party's awareness campaign.

During the Central Committee meeting on Tuesday, Pun emphasized this point, as informed by a central committee member to Ratopati.

According to the member, Barshaman stated that a leadership alternative has not been prepared yet.

He mentioned, "After the campaign, a special general convention is necessary, but currently, no alternative leadership is ready."

Pun also pointed out that contemporary leaders cannot be compared to Prachanda, stating that Prachanda is the only leader capable of providing solutions with alternatives.

He affirmed his support for Prachanda's political report during the meeting.
