Court halts General Administration section officer exam
Kathmandu, January 3 — The Public Service Commission's exam for the Section Officer position under General Administration category has been postponed following an order from the Patan High Court on Friday.
The court issued an order directing the Federal Affairs and General Administration Ministry to halt the exam process.
The joint bench of Judges Anju Upreti Dhakal and Narayan Prasad Regmi ordered the ministry to stop the recruitment process after the applications for the positions had been collected.
The petitioners, including Premraj Niroula, filed a writ stating that the advertisement did not include all vacant positions, leaving them without an opportunity for promotion. As a result, the court granted priority to the petitioners' case.
The Public Service Commission had called for applications for the officer exam in December, 2024.
