NEPSE drops by 33 points

Kathmandu, December 31 — The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) dropped by 33 points on Tuesday.

The market, which opened at 2613 points, continued to decline, reaching 2576 points by the end of the day.

However, in the last half hour of trading, the index rose by 19 points.

A total of 213 companies saw a drop in their market value, while the value of 28 companies increased slightly.

Three companies' prices remained unchanged.

A total of 1,31,74,000 shares from 308 companies were bought and sold, resulting in a transaction volume of NPR 5.67 billion.

On Tuesday, the share prices of Support Microfinance, Janaki Finance, and Pokhara Finance Limited hit the negative circuit breaker.

The finance sector saw a decline of 5.19%, and companies such as Narayani Development Bank, Guhyeshwari Merchant, and Bottlers Nepal Terai saw a decrease of over 9% in their stock prices.
