NEPSE drops by 21.63 points on Sunday

Kathmandu, March 16 — The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped by 21.63 points today, falling to 2714.85 points on the first day of the week, Sunday.

The total market turnover today was NPR 6.83 billion, compared to NPR 7.21 billion on the previous day.

Today, the stock prices of 31 companies increased, while 207 companies saw a decline, and 6 companies' prices remained unchanged.

The shares of Saamudayik Microfinance saw the highest increase, while the stocks of Green Development Bank and People's Hydro Power experienced the greatest decline.

Other trading indicators showed an improvement, but all sectors saw a decline.

The Development Bank sector experienced the biggest drop of 2.25%.

In terms of turnover, number of shares traded, and transactions, Himalayan Reinsurance, Ghalemdi Hydro, and Guardian Life Insurance were the top performers.

Himalayan Reinsurance recorded a turnover of NPR 586.6 million.
