Madhav Nepal and Bamdev Gautam hold talks on party unification
Kathmandu, December 19 — There has been a discussion between the chairperson of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, and the coordinator of the 'Party Unity National Campaign', Bamdev Gautam, regarding party unification.
The meeting took place at Gautam's residence in Bhainsepati on Thursday evening, Unified Socialist leader Balram Baskota informed.
According to him, the discussion was positive. Gautam mentioned that he would convene a central committee meeting of his party to make a decision.
Chairperson Nepal, senior leader Pramesh Hamal, and leader Balaram Baskota visited Gautam's residence for the discussion.
The recent standing committee meeting of the Unified Socialist had decided to initiate dialogue to bring Gautam into the party.
