Indian COAS Dwivedi arrives in Kathmandu (photos)

Kathmandu, November 20 — The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of India, General Upendra Dwivedi, has arrived in Nepal.

He is in Nepal to receive the honorary title of "Maharathi" (Field Marshal) from the Nepal Army.

The Nepal Army has announced that President Ramchandra Paudel will confer the honorary Field Marshal title to him on November 21.

It is a tradition between Nepal and India to grant the honorary Field Marshal title to each other's army chiefs, and General Dwivedi has arrived in Nepal to receive this honor.
