Bus accident in Arghakhanchi claims one life, 19 injured

Butwal, November 4 — A bus accident occurred in Bhumikasthan Municipality of Arghakhanchi on Monday, resulting in one person’s death and 19 others injured.

According to DSP Chakra Bahadur Malla, the head of the Arghakhanchi District Police Office, the accident happened around 5 PM when the brakes of a bus with the number plate Na 3 Kha 2471 failed near the boundary of wards 5 and 6 in Jayathati.

The police informed that the bus, carrying people traveling for Deusi Bhailo, lost its brakes and struck a group performing Deusi Bhailo on the road.

DSP Malla confirmed that a woman died at the scene, and the injured were sent to Arghakhanchi Hospital for treatment. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
