Cabinet promotes DIG Rana and Hyoju to AIG
Kathmandu, October 29 — The Cabinet has decided to promote DIG Kiran Rana and Dr. Sundar Prasad Hyoju to the rank of AIG (Additional Inspector General) in the Nepal Police. A senior official from the Prime Minister's Office informed Ratopati about the decision made in the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
Rana, who is stationed at the Tribhuvan International Airport Security Office, and Hyoju, DIG at the Police Hospital, were recommended for the promotion to AIG by the promotion committee on October 20. With this promotion, Dr. Hyoju will become the head of the Police Hospital.
Rana joined the police force on March 19, 1995, alongside IGP Basanta Kunwar. Due to reaching the age limit of 56, she will retire on October 31. On Tuesday evening, IGP Kunwar will present both of them with insignia at the Police Headquarters.
