RSP to mobilize 10,000 supporters in protest against party president Lamichhane's arrest
Kathmandu, October 29 — The Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is preparing to mobilize 10,000 leaders, cadres, and party supporters today at Baluwatar. The party is protesting, claiming that the arrest of President Rabi Lamichhane is a political vendetta.
In this context, RSP will gather at Nepal House in Baluwatar to demonstrate. According to the party’s acting spokesperson Manish Jha, rallies will start from Chabahil, Koteshwor, Kalanki, Lalitpur, Swayambhu, Bansthali, Balaju, Samakhushi, and Maharajgunj. He stated that rallies will depart from these locations at 11 AM, aiming to arrive at Nepal House by noon.
"We can't say exactly how many people will come, but we have set a target of mobilizing 10,000 people," he mentioned.
Jha indicated that the commander for the protest has been assigned to Pukar Bam.
Additionally, various party leaders including Bagmati Province President Achyut Lamichhane, Sumana Shrestha, Santosh Pariyar, DP Aryal, and Swarnim Wagle have been designated to address the movement.
