PM Oli calls cabinet meeting today
Kathmandu, October 29 — Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called for the regular cabinet meeting to be held on Tuesday evening at 5 PM. The cabinet, which usually meets on Mondays and Thursdays, could not convene on Monday due to the Prime Minister's busy schedule.
During the Tuesday meeting, a minister indicated that decisions regarding the Dedicated and Truckline electricity tariffs and the Nepal Electricity Authority's executive director, Kulman Ghising, could be made. Director Ghising had cut the electricity supply to 34 industries that failed to pay the Dedicated Trunkline tariff. This decision has upset the government.
However, he mentioned that the agenda for the meeting has not been received yet and discussions about the Prime Minister's upcoming visit to China may also take place.
