District hospital postpones 'warm bag' programme

Lamjung – The District Hospital Lamjung has postponed the 'Nyano Jhola' (warm bag) Programme for lack of budget. 
The hospital has postponed the programme for the past four months as the budget allocated from the District Public Health Office has gone to the local levels. 

The new moms and infants are affected after the postponement of the programme. 
However, the repeated pleas made by the hospital to the local level were not heard, shared the hospital officials. 

Administrative Chief of the District Hospital Yubraj Devkota termed it as an unfortunate act adding that the number of women visiting the health institutions for delivery has increased. 

The hospital was providing Rs 1400 and a warm bag with some warm clothes to the women after their pregnancy.
