NEPSE index sees modest rise

Kathmandu, October 17 — The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has experienced a modest rise in share trading today. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE index has increased by 2.47 points, reaching a total of 2,745.36.

The sensitive index, which measures the trading of large companies, has also risen by 1.31 points, reaching 495.30. Among the 13 subgroups that were traded, seven subgroups saw an increase in share prices, while six subgroups experienced a decline.

A total of 1,880,742 shares have been traded, amounting to a value of NPR 7,192,791,166.

Notably, according to NEPSE, investors in Goodwill Finance have gained 7.63%, NIC Asia Select Fund 6.19%, Sunrise Bluechip Fund 6.14%, and Samaj Laghubitta 5.12%. Meanwhile, investors in Rawa Energy and Upper Syange Hydropower have seen gains of 5.12% and 5.19%, respectively.

Conversely, Mid Solu Hydropower has reported a decrease of 5.03%, Saamudaayik Laghubitta 4.47%, Nepal SBI Bank’s debentures 3.88%, and Support Microfinance has incurred losses of 3.41%.
