Air flight at Simkot airport after three days

Simkot (Humla), October 14 — Humla, a mountainous district deprived of connection to the national road, has seen air flights after three days at Simkot airport.

The air flights were not conducted regularly for lack of passengers.

During major days of the Dashain festival, the airport remained idle.

Simkot Station chief Chhiring Lama informed that the Tara Air and the Nepal Airlines conducted flights on Monday. The Tara Air had one flight and the Nepal Airlines two.

In addition to the passengers, the flights transported daily goods and construction materials.

"The tickets for Tuesday are already booked. Now, the number of passengers will rise gradually," Lama said, adding that the people leaving Humla are more than those entering the district.

The Simkot Airport Office informed that the Sita Air and the Summit Air did not conduct any flight on Monday.
