Disaster update: Death toll rises to 102

Kathmandu, September 29 — Floods and landslides have resulted in the deaths of 102 people, while 64 are reported missing. A total of 45 individuals have been injured in the disaster.

Humanitarian losses have been reported in several districts affected by the floods and landslides, including Lalitpur, Dhading, Kathmandu, Kavre, Makwanpur, Sindhupalchok, Solukhumbu, Panchthar, Bhaktapur, Dolakha, Sindhuli, Dhankuta, Mahottari, Ramechhap, Jhapa, Udaypur, Ilam, Saptari, and Nuwakot.

According to Home Ministry spokesperson Rishiram Tiwari, 9,983 security personnel have been deployed for search and rescue operations in the affected areas, and so far, 3,039 individuals have been rescued.
