NEPSE index declines by 32.81 points, breaking two-day growth streak
Kathmandu, September 26 — The share market index (NEPSE) did not sustain its growth for the second consecutive day. On the last trading day of the week, Thursday, the market saw a decline of 32.81 points. On Wednesday, the market had increased by 49 points.
Overall, the NEPSE index has fallen by 102 points this week. On Sunday, the market reached a high of 2,588 points before stabilizing. By the end of the trading week, the index is at 2,486 points.
Today, the sensitive index decreased by 1.17%. The trading subgroup index rose by 1%, while all other subgroups saw declines.
On Thursday, the share prices of 201 companies fell, while 39 companies saw an increase and 4 remained stable. A total of 1,369,100 shares were traded today, amounting to a transaction value of 4.8414 billion Nepali Rupees.
