Ratopati becomes first online media to begin round the clock news service

Kathmandu — Discovery News Network has brought a happy news for the readers, viewers, and listeners of Ratopati.com. Starting from September 17, 2024, the network will provide news, information, and opinions 24 hours a day through the Ratopati.com news portal.

Ratopati.com, which began publication on June 10, 2013, has decided to continue its publication consistently in its 12th year. By delivering content in both Nepali and English through text, audio, and video, Ratopati aims to keep citizens informed and make it easier for readers, viewers, and listeners around the world to access news, information, and opinions at their convenience.

By consistently continuing its publication, Ratopati has become the first media outlet in Nepali media to operate seven provincial editions to capture the news, opinions, and voices of people from all seven provinces. It also provides a global edition for Nepalis living abroad. To further strengthen its services, Ratopati has decided to remove time restrictions on its offerings.

Arjun Panta, the network's managing director, stated that the effort to provide continuous 24-hour news is a way to connect with their readers, viewers, and listeners worldwide. “It is our duty to provide immediate information to our readers, viewers, and listeners scattered around the world about any important event or activity, and we have initiated this new effort to fulfill that duty,” he said.

According to Panta, the message being conveyed is that by launching a 24-hour digital platform, Ratopati will never sleep. The network's commitment to making Ratopati.com the best for everyone now includes the pledge that "Ratopati will remain awake 24 hours." The network hopes to continue receiving the previous support, cooperation, and affection of its readers, viewers, and listeners in this new endeavor.

In a changing world, not only readers, viewers, and listeners of news but also Nepali media outlets like Ratopati have expanded globally. With the advancement of information technology, citizens prefer to quickly read, watch, and listen to news and information.

Due to increasingly busy lifestyles, the average reader-viewer may not have the time to wait for news, which has presented challenges for media outlets to work with set deadlines for news dissemination. In response, Ratopati has started delivering news and information 24 hours a day, according to the needs and demands of the time, as noted by Panta.
