Kathmandu, September 13 — Taxi drivers have protested demanding the cessation of ride-sharing services and that vehicles with red number plates be prohibited from carrying passengers.

On Friday, in the Jadibuti-Koteshwar area, they staged a demonstration with their taxis, causing disruptions in traffic management in the area.

Led by businessman Durga Prasai, the taxi drivers obstructed the road by placing their taxis in the middle of the road in the Jadibuti area.

The traffic police have since cleared the taxis and resumed road operations.
