CIB raids call center operated by Chinese and Philippine nationals
Kathmandu, September 12 — The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Nepal Police has raided a call center operated by Chinese and Philippine nationals in Sanepa, Lalitpur.
SP Hobindra Bogati of the CIB informed RatoPati that the operators of the call center and 50 employees have been taken into custody.
Initial police investigations have revealed that the call center operated by two Chinese nationals and one Philippine national was involved in cryptocurrency transactions and fraud. The police have arrested all three operators.
SP Bogati informed that legal action will be taken only against those involved in fraud and cryptocurrency transactions among those detained.
