NEPSE index rises 127.32 points

Kathmandu, September 2 — The NEPSE index saw a significant increase in the second trading day of the week. The NEPSE index rose by 127.32 points on Monday, reaching a total of 2823.25 points.

The sensitive index also saw an increase of 22.94 points, while the float index went up by 9.02 points, and the sensitive float index rose by 8.18 points.

 30,143,000 shares worth 13.10 billion rupees were traded across 335 companies. In comparison, trading on Sunday involved shares worth 10.5 billion rupees.

All 13 sub-groups within the NEPSE index experienced gains. The finance sub-group index increased by 7.94 percent, while the indices for the hydropower and investment sub-groups each rose by more than 5 percent.

The indices for banking, development banks, hotels and tourism, life insurance, non-life insurance, and other sub-groups all saw increases of more than 4 percent.

Shares of more than 10 companies that began trading on Monday hit positive circuit levels.

Notable among these were shares of National Hydropower, Best Finance, NLG Insurance, Reliance Finance, Supermy Hydropower, Dolty Power, Samriddhi Finance, and others.

Goodwill Finance saw the highest trading volume, with shares worth 465.2 million rupees changing hands.
