NC revises reports from General Secretaries Thapa and Sharma

Kathmandu, August 31 — The Nepali Congress has revised the report from General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwo Prakash Sharma following a meeting among the party's top leaders.

The meeting addressed various issues related to the party's general convention and the date set by the party's statute. "We discussed all the relevant matters and agreed to hold the general convention on the scheduled date. Questions related to the party's constitution will be forwarded to the drafting committee," said Krishna Prasad Paudel, Chief Secretary of the Nepali Congress Central Office.

Regarding Gagan Thapa's proposal, Paudel noted that the report did not mention any electoral alliances. He added that there was no discussion about forming alliances for the upcoming elections. "There was no mention of alliances or related issues. Instead, the focus was on achieving a single majority for the Nepali Congress in the next election through organizational expansion," Paudel explained.

The meeting was attended by existing and former office-bearers and was part of the central committee's ongoing discussions.
