Nepal Life Insurance sees 18.97% boost in interest income, profits skyrocket
Kathmandu, August 13: Nepal Life Insurance reported a net profit of Rs 51.39 crore for the last financial year.
This is a notable increase from the previous financial year 2079/80.
The company's profit growth is attributed to strong returns from loan investments.
According to the financial report, interest income rose by 18.97 percent, reaching Rs 15.203 crore for the year.
In the financial year 2080/81, the company saw a 9.86 percent increase in net insurance fee earnings, totaling Rs 40.112 billion.
Additionally, the size of the insurance fund has grown to Rs 1.9833 trillion.
By the end of the financial year, the company's paid-up capital stood at Rs 8.2079 billion, with retained earnings of Rs 5.284 billion.
The earnings per share amounted to Rs 6.26, and the net worth per share was Rs 129.11.
