Top 25 Miss Universe Nepal contestants receive sashes

Kathmandu, August 13: Global Glamor Venture, the organizer of Miss Universe Nepal 2024, held the Sash conferring ceremony for the top 25 contestants at the Hilton Kathmandu on Sunday.

During the event, Miss Universe Nepal National Director Sangeeta Puri and choreographer Dikpal Karki awarded sashes to 25 of the 60 contestants selected from the preliminary round.

This year’s competition features a diverse group of contestants, including Sujal Bam, who is both deaf and mute. The lineup also includes transgender participants, married women, non-resident Nepalese women, and professionals such as doctors, engineers, and pilots.

The sashes were conferred as follows: Sampada Ghimire received sash number 1, Chhoten Phuntso number 2, Sriyangka Thapa number 3, Anushka Vasti number 4, and Sujal Bam number 5. Neha Chaudhary was given sash number 6, Manisha Pariyar number 7, Smriti Singh number 8, Elina Gurung number 9, and Renata Kattel number 10.

Similarly, Tulsa Nepal received sash number 11, Arjal Ritisha Manandhar number 12, Pooja Bastola number 13, Khushi Dattaraj number 14, and Ayusha Karki number 15.

Likewise, Asmi Dhakal was awarded sash number 16, Shivani Karn number 17, Ghazal Karn number 18, Karen Murray number 19, and Samyukta Malla number 20. Akshita Chetty received sash number 21, Neetu Pun number 22, Tashi Gurung number 23, and Samriddhi KC number 24.

These top 25 contestants will undergo training in various life skills, including personality development, public speaking, and financial management. They will also receive guidance from national and international experts such as image consultant and pageant coach Alexander Gonzalez and pageant analyst Luis Portelis.

The grand finale of Miss Universe Nepal 2024 is scheduled for the first week of September. The winner will advance to compete in the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico in November, representing Nepal among contestants from 100 countries.
