Rubi Khan doubtful about the agreement, stressed for strict implementation
Kathmandu: Rubi Khan, the founder of the women's justice movement, stressed that a formal agreement between the government and herself is not enough.
Speaking on Tuesday during a press conference held at Maitighar Mandala, Khan emphasized that the government's promises must be reflected in concrete measures that guarantee that common people experience justice and security.
"The five-point agreement should not remain confined to paper; it should build trust among citizens towards the state and the government, ensuring they feel justice has been served," said Khan. For the fourth time, she expressed confidence in the government and hoped that the Home Minister would see that the deal was carried out.
In order to draw attention regarding the killings of Nirmala Kurmi and Sumdarani Tharu from Banke, Rubi had gone on a hunger strike.
