The Municipal Assembly of Jeetpursimara adjourned following a chair scuffle
Bara: The municipal assembly of the Jitpur Simra sub-metropolitan city has been postponed due to the protest and vandalism of the CPN-UML elected ward chairs.
UML and a few Congress ward chairmen protested early on the day of the budget announcement.
When Mayor Rajan Paudel entered the Municipal Assembly to take part in the proceedings, they broke out in riots.
Additionally, they damaged the city hall's tables and seats.
Dhan Bahadur Shrestha of Jitpur Simra sub-metropolis's Ward No. 2, Haridev Kharel of Ward No. 16, Kaiyudin Ansari of Ward No. 6, and Sunil Gupta of Ward No. 7 are among the ward presidents who initiated vandalism and protest.
Following their protest and the ward presidents' vandalism, the municipal assembly has been adjourned.
