Three arrested for fraud

Kathmandu: Nepal Police has busted a racket involved in fraud for cheating more than 300 people with the pretext of lucrative foreign jobs.

Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Bureau released three people involved in fraud in a press conference on Tuesday. Those arrested are Rajkumar Bhatta of Chitawan and Pawan Panta and Nabin BK of Kaski.

It was informed in the press conference that the arrested persons have collected more than 15 crores in total. They collected 5 to 10 lakhs Rs from more than 300 people for the past 3/4 years.

They used to post about attractive job offers in Cambodia, New Zealand, France and other countries on their fake social media accounts. According to the police, it has also been revealed that they used to deposit money in the accounts of various people and make them withdraw the deposited money through checks.  

The police started an investigation int the matter after 15 people including Nabin Chaudhary filed a complaint. It has also been revealed that they hired some accountants under the pretext of giving them jobs and involved them in fraud.
