Fatal jeep accident in Udayapur leaves six dead, seven injured

KATHMANDU: Tragedy struck in Udayapur as six individuals lost their lives in a devastating jeep accident.

Reported by the District Police Udayapur, the accident occurred when a jeep (1 Jha 2593) traveling from Dharan to Bhojpur veered off the road.

In addition to the fatalities, seven others sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical care at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.

Identification of the deceased is pending.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the accident was caused by brake failure, highlighting the urgency of ensuring vehicular safety measures on Nepal's roads.
