Nepal aims to chase down 172-run target against PNG in T20 series finals

KATHMANDU: Nepal has set its sights on chasing down a target of 172 runs in the Tri-nations T20 International Series finals against Papua New Guinea (PNG).

Opting to field first after winning the toss, Nepal successfully limited PNG to 171 runs, with the loss of eight wickets within the allotted 20 overs.

Nepal's bowling attack, led by Kushal Bhurtel and Aakash Chand, proved formidable, each claiming three wickets, while Karan KC and Gulsan Jha chipped in with one wicket each.

Tony Ura led the charge for PNG with an impressive 61 runs, supported by Alei Nao's contribution of 30 runs. However, beyond these efforts, PNG's batting lineup struggled to make an impact, failing to exceed the 20-run mark.
