Nepal to clash with PNG in Tri-Nations T20I Series finals

KATHMANDU: The stage is set for an electrifying showdown as Papua New Guinea (PNG) secures its spot in the finals against Nepal in the Tri-Nations T20I Series.

After a dominating performance against Hong Kong, China, PNG's triumphant victory by 10 wickets paves the way for an epic battle in the finals.

Scheduled for Wednesday, the final match promises high-octane action and fierce competition.

During the initial innings, Hong Kong, after winning the toss, set a target of 121 runs for PNG to overcome. Zeeshan Ali led the charge with a notable contribution of 55 runs for Hong Kong.

However, PNG's response was swift and decisive. Their opening batsmen, Sese Bau and Tony Ura, showcased exceptional skill, each securing half-centuries with scores of 61 and 51 runs, respectively.

Earlier today, Nepal secured its position in the finals with a remarkable 85-run victory over PNG, setting the stage for a thrilling showdown between the two formidable teams.
