CPN (Unified Socialist) to back PM Dahal in confidence vote

KATHMANDU: In a crucial development, the CPN (Unified Socialist) has announced its decision to support Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal in a confidence vote.

The decision stems from an agreement reached between the CPN (Maoist Center), CPN-UML, and CPN (Unified Socialist), as confirmed by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s personal secretary, Ramesh Malla.

Malla further stated that CPN (US) has also endorsed the eight-point agreement among the coalition members and will cast its vote for Narayan Dahal, the ruling alliance's candidate, in the National Assembly Chair election.

The election for the NA Chair is scheduled to take place today, while PM Dahal is expected to seek a vote of confidence on Wednesday.
