Ruling alliance dissolves, new Cabinet formation underway
KATHMANDU: In a seismic shift, the ruling alliance spearheaded by Nepali Congress has officially dissolved, paving the way for a new political landscape in Nepal.
According to Surendra Pandey, Vice Chairman of CPN-UML, preparations are underway for the formation of a new Cabinet, slated to take place today.
Under the leadership of CPN (Maoist Center), the incoming coalition will comprise CPN-UML, Rastriya Swatantra Party, Janata Samajbadi Party, and Janamat Party.
This transformative development follows a crucial late-night meeting held on Sunday at Baluwatar, where these key political entities converged to discuss pressing matters such as the TRC bill and the National Assembly Chair election, ultimately culminating in an agreement to forge a new coalition government.
