Clear skies ahead for Hilly areas, while Terai region braces for challenging visibility conditions
KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has released an advisory alerting the public to the partial impact of western winds currently affecting Nepal.
In the latest update from the Department, the weather remains clear in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with some areas experiencing partial cloud cover.
However, certain pockets of the Terai region are currently facing challenges with fog and low visibility.
This afternoon, the hilly parts of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki are expected to maintain clear weather, while other areas may witness varying degrees of cloudiness.
In addition, the Department has raised the possibility of light snowfall in isolated locations across the high hills and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
Considering the potential drop in temperature due to wind, fog, and snowfall, the Department strongly urges the public to take necessary precautions.
The advisory emphasizes the importance of adopting adequate measures to mitigate the impact of the prevailing weather conditions.
Residents are encouraged to stay informed about updates from the Department and to follow recommended safety guidelines during this period of fluctuating weather patterns.
