RSP Central Committee becomes 52-membered, 14 nominated

KATHMANDU, Nov 29: The Central Committee of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has become 52-membered. The number of the Central Committee members reached 52, after the Central Committee meeting held in Jaleshwar, Mahottari, nominated 14 MPs to the Central Work Committee.

The ones who were nominated as the members of the Central Committee are the deputy leader of the parliamentary party Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, Chief whip Santosh Pariyar, whip Nisha Dangi, MP Manish Jha, Dr. Toshima Karki, Shishir Khanal, Hari Dhakal, Dr. Swarnim Wagle, Dr. Chanda Karki (Bhandari), Asim Shah, Laxmi Tiwari, Ashok Kumar Chaudhary, Shiva Nepali and Binita Kathayat.

Earlier there were only 6 Central members, namely, party President Rabi Lamichhane, Vice-President Dol Prasad Aryal, Sobita Gautam, Sumana Shrestha, Ganesh Parajuli and Bindabasini Kansakar. The number of Central Committee members has been limited to 52 after the resignation of Mohan Bahadur Thapa, who was also a Central Committee member, was accepted.
