Clashes in Gaushala, Tear gas fired

KATHMANDU, Nov 27: The demonstrators of the Durga Prasai-led ‘Great Campaign to Save the Nation, Nationalism, Religion, Culture and Citizens’ campaign and police have clashed in Gaushala, Kathmandu. Tear gases were fired to bring the situation under control, Superintendent of Police (SP) of District Police Range Kathmandu Bhupendra Khatri informed Ratopati.

Police have arrested Dharmaguru Acharya Shriniwas and 13 others. Shriniwas is accused of walking in the road with a Trishul (a Trident weapon) and giving an atrocious expression.

Four cells of tear gases were fired in Gaushala.
