Central committee meeting of Socialist Party of Nepal being held

KATHMANDU, Nov 22: The Central committee meeting of the Baburam Bhattarai-led Socialist Party of Nepal is being held at Jadibuti in Bhaktapur at 11 am today. The meeting is being held to approve the executive committee’s decision to unite with the CPN Maoist Center and form a unity adjustment committee.

In the executive committee meeting of the party held on Tuesday, it was decided unanimously to unite with the Maoist Center.

The Socialist Party of Nepal has decided to form a 5-member committee for unity with the Maoist Center under the leadership of Chairman Baburam Bhattarai. Another Chairman of the party Mahindra Ray Yadav, Joint Chairman Ganga Narayan Shrestha, Vice Chairman Durga Sob and General Secretary Ramesh Yadav will be the other members aside from Chair Bhattarai in the committee.
