Maoist Center to provide 50 Lakhs to quake victims

KATHMANDU, Nov 5: The ruling party CPN Maoist Center has decided to provide a sum of 50 Lakhs rupees for the relief and restoration to the victims of the Jajarkot earthquake and the damage caused by the earthquake.

Secretary Ganesh Sah informed that it was decided by the office bearers’ informal meeting at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar on Sunday to provide the said amount from the party fund.

The responsibility for coordination with all the Provincial committees has been given to the General Secretary Dev Gurung.

An earthquake of magnitude 6.4 Richter Scale hit the Jajarkot district on Friday night. 157 people have died and 256 have been injured.
