4 roads made one-way in Kathmandu

Oct 18: Four roads have been made one-way in Kathmandu starting from today. Valley Police Office SSP Rajendra Bhatta informed Ratopati that the road in Durbarmarg leading to Krishna Pauroti from Mahendra Shalika and the four roads between Kathmandu's Tripureshwor and Lalitpur's Gursingal have been made one-way.

Vehicles are allowed to run from Durbar Marg's Mahendra Shalik to Krishna Pauroti Mode but aren't allowed to run from Krishna Pauroti Mode to Mahendra Shalik. Similarly, vehicles are allowed to run from Kamaladi to Ghantaghar but not from Ghantaghar to Kamaladi.

Similarly, vehicles can run from the Passport Office in Tripureshwor (near Viswa Niketan School) to Gursingal (Setopul). However, they aren't allowed to run from Gursingal to the Passport Department.

SSP Bhatta informed that the one-way rules have been implemented to manage traffic jams on the narrow roads.
