COAS General Sharma and British Army Chief meet in London

LONDON, Oct 13: The Chief of the General Staff of the British Army Sir Patrick Sanders and the Chief of Army Staff General Prabhu Ram Sharma held a meeting in London.

COAS General Sharma is on a Britain visit at the invitation of the British Army Chief. The two held a meeting at the Army Headquarters in London.

During the meeting, the military chiefs of the two countries discussed the development and expansion of bilateral military relations and cooperation. Meanwhile, the Chief of the General Staff of the British Army Sanders expressed his commitment to always support the enhancement, development and expansion of the Nepal Army's professional capacity.

Director General of Directorate General of Military Training Major General Santosh Dhakal, Brigadier General Ratna Bahadur Godar and Colonel Paul Smith also participated in the discussion.

COAS General Sharma also visited the Royal College of Defence Studies.

A program has also been organized at the Nepal Embassy in London in honour of COAS General Sharma. During this, Nepali Ambassador Gyan Chandra Acharya said that the role of the Nepal Army is important in the development and expansion of bilateral economic, social and military relations between Britain and Nepal. The Ambassador also discussed the contribution made by the Nepal Army in the sector of world peace, natural disaster management, development and other various sectors nationally and internationally.

In the meantime, COAS General Sharma also awarded the rank of Brigadier General to Colonel Ratna Bahadur Godar.
