NAC sending airplane to Israel tonight to rescue Nepalese
KATHMANDU, Oct 11: The Government of Nepal will send a Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) plane to rescue the Nepalese from Israel tonight. With the growing conflict in Israel, the government will be sending the airplane for the purpose of rescuing the Nepalese there. According to the Foreign Affairs Minister Secretariat, the airplane will leave for Israel at 11 pm.
The Secretariat informed that the NAC airplane will reach Israel with Dubai as the transit. As the conditions are not normal, permission to fly and land the chartered aircraft must be obtained. The government has taken approval from Israel for that.
After the attack by the Palestinian rebel group Hamas on Saturday, 10 Nepalese had lost their lives, 4 were injured, while 1 went missing. The Embassy of Nepal in Israel has already received the details of 350 Nepalese to be sent to Nepal.
Earlier, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' had called the relevant authorities and inquired about the delay in sending an airplane of NAC to rescue the Nepalese citizens in Israel. He also instructed them to send an airplane today at all costs.
