Home Secretary Bhattarai requests doctors to withdraw their protests

KATHMANDU, Sep 29: The Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Dinesh Bhattarai has requested doctors to withdraw their protests and return to their work on Friday. Claiming that the government has addressed their demands, he requested the protesting doctors to resume the work, at the meeting of the Education, Health and Communication Technology committee on Friday.

Stating that the people involved in the assaults on doctors in various hospitals will be arrested within 8 hours for which the action process has been initiated, he said that the government has fulfilled the basic demands raised by the protesting doctors.

In the meeting of the committee, the representatives of various doctors’ associations demanded security from the government.
