CPN UML to mourn for three days on Nemwang’s demise, all programs postponed
KATHMANDU, Sep 12: CPN UML has decided to mourn for three days on the demise of the Vice Chairman of the party Subash Chandra Nemwang. In the emergency secretariat meeting of the UML that was held in the party office in Chyasal on Tuesday, it was decided to postpone all programs of the party and party-affiliated organizations for three days starting Tuesday.
UML Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali expressing grief over the unexpected death of Nemwang, said that a special condolence resolution was passed. He said that it has been decided to keep a condolence booklet at the central, provincial and district offices of the party for three days from Tuesday.
Gyawali also said that it was decided to fly the party flag at half-mast. Similarly, he said that it has been decided to mourn at the local level in Nemwang’s constituency in Ilam.
Gyawali said that a tribute meeting will be organized on September 19 on behalf of the party. According to him, a minute of silence was observed in the meeting in honour of Nemwang.
