Lalita Niwas case: 7 lawyers debate on behalf of Min Bahadur Gurung

KATHMANDU, Sep 5: A debate was held on behalf of two defendants in the case of misappropriation of government land inside the Lalita Niwas camp in the Kathmandu District Court.

Legal practitioners debated on behalf of the Bhatbhateni operator Min Bahadur Gurung and the former joint secretary Kaladhar Deuja in the bench of Justice Bholanath Dhakal on Tuesday.

Advocates Sabina Shakya, Kedar Guragai, senior advocates Harka Bhattarai and Baburam Giri finished their debate on behalf of Deuja.

On the other hand, senior advocates Sushit Panta, Shambhu Thapa, Sharad Koirala, Komal Prakash Ghimire, Advocates Mani Acharya, Lalit Basnet and Shambhu Pokharel are still debating on behalf of Gurung.

The debate of four defendants has concluded in the Lalita Niwas case. A total of 18 people accused of being involved in the case are still in police custody.
